I am Stuart Garnett. I have lived in Queensland for 20 years and have a passion for the people and the location.
I have always been interested in creative arts. I began work as a member of a staging events team coordinating large scale events while completing courses in Fitness, Health, and Recreation; Business Studies; and Photography and Creative Design. Following the completion of my studies I worked as a Personal Fitness Trainer and Rock Climbing Instructor.
It was during this time that I developed an interest in photography. I travelled widely in the USA and Pacific Islands, teaching rockclimbing, meeting people of many cultures, and capturing still images of people and locations.
A local fashion designer, Gussy, introduced me to Tsunami Magazine on the Sunshine Coast. Working for Tsunami gave me the opportunity to not only photograph fashion, but also music concerts including Destiny’s Child and Black Eyed Peas. At the same time I worked as a baby photographer for the Sunshine Coast Daily (Sunday).
These experiences taught me about people and patience. I now freelance for for small businesses, sporting groups, large corporations, weddings, and specialised projects.
